These are pictures from a day trip I took to Plymouth (the town
founded by the Pilgrims) and Cape Cod.

The "Plymouth Rock" itself. Not greatly impressive, is it?

Very strong winds were puffing up my shirt that day. I'm really
not as fat as I look in that picture.

This tower in the middle of Provincetown has some special
historical significance in association with the Pilgrims landing
here prior to sailing on to Plymouth.

"SITE OF FIRST UNITED STATES TRANSATLANTIC WIRELESS TELEGRAPH
STATION BUILT IN 1901-1902". Stumbling across the "Marconi Site"
on the way back was an unexpected stroke of good luck, and the
highlight of the trip. From this site, the Italian inventor
Guglielmo Marconi transmitted a radio message in Morse code
to Great Britain. Marconi's company, the "Marconi Wireless
Telegraph Company of America", later became known as RCA.

This is where the Marconi towers would be standing today, if they
had not been disassembled.
