Taylor, Mississippi
Taylor is a small village of 288 people in the rolling hills
of North Mississippi, about seven miles south of Oxford.
Taylor is known as a place where artists and writers go to do their
work while living cheaply. As such, there are a lot more art
galleries than you would expect in a community this small.

This is Taylor Grocery, the only place to eat in Taylor.
Don't let its looks fool you -- its rough, rustic appearance
is a preservation of history to appease the many tourists
who visit from all over the world. Taylor Grocery perhaps
serves the best catfish in the state. (Which would mean the
best catfish anywhere.)
I hear that Taylor Grocery is a favorite eating spot of
local writer John Grisham.
Here's an article about Taylor Grocery from the September 9, 1999
issue of the Memphis Flyer.

Taylor Arts is one of the main art galleries in Taylor. It is
located just a few houses south of Taylor Grocery, and generally
keeps the same hours, so people who come to eat catfish can also
browse the gallery.
