NEW WALKWAY/PARKING PROJECT

A new parking lot has been built downtown to address the parking needs of downtown businesses. The lot is off of Jefferson Street between Lafayette and Jackson streets. A lighted walkway/tunnel has been built between the new parking lot and Main Street, near the Starkville Cafe. The lot was officially opened during a ceremony on Saturday, September 19, 1997.

You can see Sullivan's Furniture from the back of the walkway. It looks like the rear wall could use some touching up. (32K)
