The Domain Name System (DNS), one of the fundamental building
blocks of the Internet, is a distributed mechanism for
organizing the Internet's name space, and is responsible for
providing translation between IP addresses and host names, as
well as storing other information.
This page was inspired by the many questions I constantly get
about DNS, and will hopefully clear up some of the mystery
of this system.

This page is new, and hopefully much more material will be added
in the future, particularly advanced DNS issues and recent events.
Criticism and suggestions welcome.
