Starkville is a university town of about 20,000 people located in East Central Mississippi. Starkville is home to Mississippi State University, the largest school in Mississippi; the Mississippi Research and Technology Park, an office park for high-tech companies and research institutions; and numerous industries.
Starkville is the western-most city of the "Golden Triangle" region, an
economically tied group of cities that also includes Columbus and West Point. The Golden
Triangle cities share resources such as a centrally located regional airport.
